American Govt Honors: G Block-

This course is an entry level college course that introduces students to the structure, functions, and concepts of our governmental and economic systems.  Students will study in-depth the foundations of American democracy, the formal and informal structures that are the basis of our systems, the role of the media, parties, political interest groups, and of the citizens in our political culture.  Students will also develop a primary understanding of the macro-level economic principles of the United States.  They will develop those skills necessary to be active and effective citizens.
